Essential tea sets for novices

Essential tea sets for novices

Water is the mother of tea, and utensils are the father of tea. To taste good tea, water and tea utensils are indispensable. For novices, they don’t need to prepare too many tea sets like old tea drinkers at the beginning, but the most basic tea sets are still necessary for tea drinking. After all, good tea sets can complement each other with tea leaves and show the color, taste and shape of tea leaves.
This article sorts out the tea sets that novices must have for tea drinking, including four types: covered bowl, fairness cup, tea cup, and concentric cup. Whether it is tasting tea at home or drinking tea at the company, it is more suitable for novices to use, and it is suitable for brewing different types of tea!
1. Covered bowl

The covered bowl, also called "Sancai bowl" or "Sancai cup", is a tea set with a lid on the top, a bowl in the middle, and a tray on the bottom. Before using it, it must be rinsed with boiling water, and then put in tea leaves, pour water and cover it.
It is recommended that novices must use a covered bowl. Gaiwan can be used to brew all kinds of tea. If you want to drink good tea, you must use a gaiwan. Gaiwan can show the shape, taste and color of tea. For tea novices, it is most important to choose a gaiwan that suits them. Whether it is a new tea drinker or an old tea drinker, the problem that cannot be avoided is that the gaiwan is hot. How to say it, all gaiwans will be hot. For novices, choose a gaiwan that fits the size of their palms and can be controlled when choosing the capacity of the gaiwan, and try to avoid being burned. But you can't choose a gaiwan that is too small. After all, you have to consider the effect of brewing tea. Generally speaking, a gaiwan of about 120ml is more suitable for novices. If your palm is large, add a little more. In addition to the capacity of the gaiwan, if the shape of the gaiwan is not chosen well, it is also easy to be burned. For tea novices, try to choose a gaiwan with a larger bowl mouth, a protruding bowl edge, and a higher lid button, so that the heat transfer is slower and it can also avoid being burned. Finally, the material of the covered bowl. There are many materials for covered bowls on the market, mainly white porcelain, celadon, glass, jade porcelain, etc. For tea novices, porcelain is the best choice. Glass is not recommended. Glass is transparent and looks good, but it also dissipates heat quickly, and it is easy for novices to get burned and break. There are many types of porcelain covered bowls on the market, and the prices are relatively cheap. The best porcelains are from Jingdezhen, Dehua, and Zibo. When choosing, it depends on personal preference. After all, you drink tea yourself, so you can choose what you like.
2. Fairness cup

In the past, the fairness cup was a drinking container, but now it has gradually become an indispensable tea set for tea drinking. After brewing tea in a covered bowl, in order to ensure that the taste of the tea soup is uniform, the tea soup in the covered bowl will be poured into the fairness cup, and then the uniform tea soup will be poured out from the fairness cup to ensure that everyone has a similar taste of tea. Whether it is drinking tea alone or in a group, it is one of the necessary tea sets, especially for novice tea drinkers, who cannot control the tea soup well at the beginning, so a fairness cup can be put in.
The fairness cup also has two materials: porcelain and glass. The glass material can directly see the color of the tea soup, which I personally prefer. When choosing, try to choose a glass fairness cup with a thick texture, and the appearance can be determined according to everyone's preferences.
3. Tea cup

If a novice tea drinker prefers to taste tea, or wants to drink tea with a few friends, a good-looking tea cup is definitely needed. I won't introduce this too much. It depends on personal preference. If you like the simple and simple one, choose a simple porcelain material. If you like the beautiful one, then focus on the pattern on the appearance of the tea cup or choose enamel color, which is also beautiful.
4. Concentric Cup

I personally prefer to call the Concentric Cup a "tea and water separation cup". It is also suitable for brewing most teas, especially for office workers who drink tea in the company. They don't have an independent office in the company, but don't want to lose the joy of drinking tea. The Concentric Cup can satisfy the joy of drinking tea while working.
The Concentric Cup can separate tea and water, and is suitable for most teas. You can also control the time when the tea leaves come out to ensure the taste of the tea, and one cup can do it. I personally recommend glass material, which can directly see the time when the tea leaves come out, so you can drink tea at work.
Of course, if it is given to the elders or used at home, there are also porcelain materials, which feel better and make drinking tea more enjoyable
